The SUNY-ESF Ranger School ( in Wanakena, NY invites applicants for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Environmental and Natural Resources Conservation, Forest Technology and Land Surveying Technology programs. The selected individual will teach sophomore-level, technical courses that may include forest measurements, silviculture, water and soil resources, and wildland firefighting and ecology, among others. All courses include both lecture and lab components, and incorporate outdoor field exercises. This individual will also assist in teaching other courses as needed, provide academic advisement, student supervision and oversight of student organizations. Ranger School faculty are expected to develop excellence in teaching, conduct scholarly activity, and work effectively as a member of a faculty team to continually update and improve the content and delivery of the Ranger School programs.
