Topics and Presenters: Join Jason McLellan (Operations Manager, Baskahegan Company), Kyle Burdick (Woodlands Manager, Baskahegan Company), Eric Hoar (Land Management Biology, ME IFW), Steve Dunham (Regional Biologist, ME IFW), Nicole Rogers (Landowner Outreach Forester, MFS) and a representative from the NRCS as they discuss the benefits of patch cutting from different perspectives. Each stop of this field tour will be at a harvest site showcasing a patch cut in different forest types. Presenters will discuss how, when, and why the harvest occurred the way it did and the silvicultural and wildlife pros and cons associated with patch cutting.
