The NESAF News Quarterly is published four times per year. Each issue contains news and information pertinent to our members, both locally and region-wide. In addition, each issue includes several articles relating to a timely theme, selected and produced in coordination with the Forest Science Coordinator. News Quarterlies are all listed below by date.
Submissions to the News Quarterly are always welcome. Our members enjoy reading about a variety of articles and topics. Articles can be short (e.g., less than 500 words) or long (e.g., 2,000+ words). Some example submissions our readers enjoy:
- A reflection on a recent field tour or conference you attended
- Summary of a recent project you’ve completed that highlights New England forests and/or NESAF
- Recap from an SAF Student Chapter event
- A book review
- A profile of a NESAF member
- And many more!

Here are some guidelines and tips when submitting articles for publication in the News Quarterly:
- Format: Provide the document in plain text with minimal formatting, such as a Microsoft Word or Google Doc. Include hyperlinks to resources available on the web.
- Deadlines: The News Quarterly is published four times per year. See the submission deadlines below.
- Submitting files: Email all submissions to the News Quarterly Editor.
